This year I went to Vivid Sydney. It was everything I expected it to be. The light shows, the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge all painted in a dazzling array of colour and light. I loved it and so did the rest of Sydney who joined with me that second night of Vivd Sydney. Here was I, armed with camera gear and a tripod, waiting to inch towards the shoreline just to be able to capture the Opera House in all its colourful glory but then again, so too were hundreds of other photographers (we have a tendency to converge at events like this).

This year, the Wynyard tunnel was open to the public in a display called Dark Spectrum. A cacophony of sound and light and colour taking the viewer through tunnels and rooms exploring different emotions. It was pretty well done actually – loud, colourful, pulsating.

Oh, and we stopped off at a pub for something to eat, politely imposed ourselves onto a lovely unsuspecting English couple as they were only using half the table, and enjoyed getting to know these two jolly good people.
