Brisbane City Botanical Gardens was host to Afterglow as part of this years festival – a walk through the park IKEA like style, wandering along the paths to experience displays of light and sound. This was a ticketed event so there were not hoards of people and the walk through the gardens looking at the various displays made the night so much better.
However, instead of just capturing the displays themselves, I started to focus more on the people and their reactions. Everyone had a phone in hand and so that gave me the idea of how to capture the sights and the excitement of the evenings meandering through the park. The first shot below however, was totally by accident where I must have accidently pressed the shutter – I did like the result though. It was a shot taken on the way to the Afterglow event, on the newest walk bridge across the Brisbane River

The first shot in the series above was totally by accident where I must have accidently pressed the shutter – I did like the result though. It was a shot taken on the way to the Afterglow event, on the newest walk bridge across the Brisbane River. Very colourful cartoonish hoops spanning the bridge made for quite the sight!
