Last weekend saw me head to Wivenhoe to my favourite spot because it has a tree that reminds of that infamous Wanaka tree in New Zealand. Except this place doesn’t attract tourists or many photographers either. There were a couple of pelicans and a young man sitting on the rocks close by listening to his favourite tunes and vaping…he just bet me to the spot by a couple of minutes so I wasn’t going to let that deter my mission to my very specific vantage point.

So in the end, I managed to capture a bit of colour, a bit of cloud and a bit of a dead tree…
